The daughter was 17 almost 18, she is not a child, she is a young woman. And she had no mother at home to answer her questions. The defendant wanted to help. The fact that Cathy is not here but living in another state with her grandparents says a lot. And if she didn’t want her father to know about the defendant, there must be a reason. I didn’t buy his tears. The emails he showed were about him, not controlling his daughter, his daughter being pregnant. It is about his reputation. And even if the daughter had not attended this group, rumours that she was pregnant could have been spread, because it is what bullies do. And she was not pregnant so there was no reason for her to be sent to live with her grandparents. I think the father is controlling. But she is almost 18 and what happens when you control somebody too much? They break free. She could have used the support of the defendant to learn how not to get pregnant and more. Now she could make mistakes because she doesn’t know what to do.

It’s the same result but I disagree with the method of how they got there. She admitted to hitting the mailbox but had no way to prove the dog was there.
